About the School

Based across both the Cyncoed and Llandaff campuses, the School offers employability-focused degrees in the subject areas of Education, English, Creative Writing and Media, Criminology and Policing, Social Policy and Initial Teacher Education, and home to the Cardiff Partnership for Initial Teacher Education, one of the largest centres of teacher education and training in the UK.

Our graduates are highly skilled and fully prepared for the world of work, benefitting from our excellent links with industry partners, schools, professional bodies and the community.

Facilities

The Cardiff School of Education & Social Policy at Cardiff Metropolitan University offers state-of-the-art facilities to enhance practice-based learning.

These include an Outdoor Learning Centre with a forest school, science and psychology labs, art and design workshops, media and IT suites, a music studio, and a dedicated education library. Specialized spaces like Froebel House, the Education Experience Room, and a Crime House with simulation areas further enrich the hands-on educational experience.
